We want to not only nurture mental health restoration in the caregivers but also grow the potential of the care recipients we serve. As a new and rapidly growing service, we stand as your reliable partner in care.

Here are some common questions we get

  • We offer 1-1 respite services to caregivers and families with individuals diagnosed with autism. You can learn more from our “find respite care” page.

  • Yes. We are also partnered with the East Bay Regional center. Here is our vendor number: HB1484

  • Please follow the steps on the “services” page.

  • Yes absolutely. We can do an introduction the first session and we can end early. You can switch providers after the first session if you don’t like working with them. During the session, you can also help assist in the training so the provider can provide tailored care for the care recipient.

  • Yes, our providers have a background in a related field, have completed hours of training, and must demonstrate competency before being allowed to provide care. They will have a certification in CPR/AED and training in First Aid. Our providers have a crime-free backgrounds and a great driving records.

  • Respite services can be arranged on a flexible schedule. We offer 2- 8 hour sessions during the weekday or weekend from 8am to 12am. We can also set up ongoing sessions. We currently do not offer over night sessions. While respite sessions typically do not occur on federal holidays, exceptions may be considered based on individual care provider availability and specific client requirements.

  • The primary location we serve are Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, and Livermore. Other service areas include Concord, Hayward, Fremont, Danville, San Leandro, Castro Valley, Union City, and Walnut Creek. We’ll expand to more east bay locations soon.

  • Respite care can’t be scheduled during school and can’t overlap with other care recipient therapy appointments.

  • Unfortunately, respite care is not intended to be a childcare provider, but is intended to help caregivers recharge from caregiving duties.

  • Respite care is intended for 1-1 sessions. However, if the care provider and the primary caregiver are comfortable with an alternative arrangement, certain exceptions can be made.

  • Currently we accept referrals from East Bay Regional Center. We plan to expand to more areas.

  • Yes, if you are matched with a provider, you’ll be able to set up weekly hours with them. You can also book additional sessions with other providers if you need more sessions.

  • The respite sessions take place in a designated location that you set. You can work out an optimal time and frequency for you and your provider to meet. We allow flexibility so this can vary if needed.

  • No problem. We can adapt to any of your needs. If you end respite care after some time and want more services afterwards, we can add you back on to our waitlist.

  • That can happen. We’ll see if we can work something out, and if we can’t, then we can reassign you to another provider.

  • At the moment, we don’t take insurance or medicare. If you’re referred from one of our partner lists, we’ll cover you for the sessions your eligible for. Otherwise, you’ll need to pay out of pocket.

  • If you have authorized hours, we won’t charge you for our services.
